General Description: Norsan Floor Paint is specially prepared for the sealing of concrete and granolithic floors. It produces a hard wearing non-porous surface that enables the floor to be easily cleaned.

Ensure the floor is clean and completely free from wax, grease, dirt etc. Work the seal into the floor to ensure maximum penetration. Allow 6-8 hours for drying between coats at normal room temperature. Ensure good ventilation. This assists drying and disperses solvent vapour. Apply one or two coats preferably by brush or roller. We would recommend the application of two coats.

This material is not suitable for application to either newly laid concrete surfaces or to asphalt floors. Newly laid concrete should be left for a period of one month per inch thickness, prior to application of the paint, It is recommended that test patches should be applied prior to coating of large areas to check the suitability and cleanliness of the substrate. Previously painted floors and areas of loose/dusty concrete should be mechanically abraded to provide a firm surface for the paint. Heavy traffic should be avoided on newly painted surfaces for a period of 72 hours after painting.

Drying Time at 20oC: Surface Dry: 1 hour. Hard Dry: 4 hours. Overcoat after 6-8 hours. Drying times 'will be extended at low temperatures, Do not apply where ambient temperatures fall below 3oC or relative humidity exceeds 90%.

Dry Film Thickness: 15-40 microns. Wet Film Thickness 40-105 microns. Covering Capacity: Approximate Practical 12 sq. Metres per litre at 25 microns dry film thickness. )

Handling precautions: Keep the container tightly closed. Exclude sources of heat, sparks and open flame. Non-sparking tools should be used. Electrical equipment should be protected to the appropriate standard. Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapour and spray mist.

For personal protection see Exposure Controls Personal Protection. Prevent the creation of flammable or explosive concentrations of vapour in the air and avoid vapour concentrations higher than the occupational exposure. Never use pressure to empty: The container is not a pressure vessel.

First aid treatment

In the event of inhalation remove to fresh air. Keep the patient warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. Give nothing by mouth, if unconscious place in the recovery position and seek medical advice. In the event of contact with skin, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do NOT use solvents or thinners. In the event of contact with eyes, Contact lenses should be removed. Irrigate copiously with clean fresh water for at least 10 minutes, holding the eyelids apart and seek medical advice. If ingested obtain immediate attention. Keep at rest. Do NOT Induce vomiting.
